this week - friday 15 april 2016

Happy Friday folks and how has your week been?

Mine has been good, work was busy, which I like, we have some great events planned, one of my favourites being the Vintage Hop in June. I feel lucky to work in a job that is varied and interesting. That said, I am always happy when Friday rolls around!

Trevor has learnt a few new tricks this week, he will sit and go down on the ground on command. He has also learnt not to get on the sofa without first being invited {although he does sneak on sometimes…work in progress}. We will be attending his second training class tomorrow morning and I look forward to more good advise.

My dad got back from Portugal yesterday and he has had a brilliant time, I think it has done him good. He has enjoyed some great food, wine, sunshine and lots of lovely walks.

It’s the second week of Love Notes from Jennifer Belthoff, a really beautiful project for anyone who likes receiving snail mail {who doesn’t!}, so if you haven’t already joined up for one of the rounds, I would totally recommend you do.

Not much planned for the weekend here, I hope to read a little, maybe go in the garden, weather permitting. Do you have any plans.

Well, whatever you are up to, have a wonderful weekend!

  1. lovely pictures Jane, so glad your Dad had a good trip, and Trevor sounds like the model pupil! Today has included a potter in the garden, a dog walk, some baking (and eating of cake) – all the simple pleasures. I hope you have a similar few days xx

  2. What a lovely week you had and your plans for the weekend are ideal. : ) Hooray for Trevor! You are so smart to train him while he is young, Popeye is hopeless, I’m afraid. We found out last week that our offer was accepted for the property we love in Kent! We are very happy and although we won’t start building for another two years we are already beginning to look at house plans. We are planning on having lots of picnics on our new property once it is really ours! Have a lovely week! xx

    1. Sometimes Grace, you just have to have weekends without much planned…recharge those batteries! Trevor is 2 years old, but he does seem to be responding to some of the training, we will see?? I am SO happy that you have had your offer accepted in Kent, that is wonderful news!!! I bet you have so much going around in your head right now…happy days!! Have a great Sunday and week ahead xx

    1. He is turning out to be a pretty fast learner, Karen! My mum and dad went to Portugal a lot, so going without my mum for the first time was always going to be a little hard, but my dad had a great time with some lovely friends. Portugal is very pretty and the people are so friendly, too xx

Your thoughts are always welcome...
