Day two {three days, three quotes challenge}

And myriad leaves, on which the Summer wrote
Her blushing farewell, at my feet were strown.
~Albert Laighton (1829–1887), “In the Woods,” c.1859

How wonderful is this quote? The thought that Autumn leaves are Summer’s farewell…exquisite! The full poem can be found here.

Thanks again to Grace for inviting me to take part in this challenge. Today I would like to invite the lovely Marija to take part {if you have the time or inclination}.

Wishing you all a lovely week!

  2. I love this quote and the picture is divine! Autumn offers us so many wonderful photo opportunities, doesn’t it? I love the idea of autumn leaves being summer’s farewell to us! xx
