this week {words & pictures}

this week friday 25 september 2015

This week has seen some lovely sunny mornings and stunning light. I have enjoyed walking Trevor, before 8 am, when all is quiet and I can think before the day begins.

The Virginia Creeper is a joy at this time of year, the colours never cease to amaze me and seem more vivid each year.

The tomatoes are all but done, there are a last few clinging to the plant and the rest are ripening on the windowsill…they have been lovely.

There has been an extra day off work, which was nice. So, these past few mornings I have enjoyed a little peace and quiet {without the rush to get ready for work} with my tea and toast…my favourite breakfast.

Delicious Autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive Autumns ~ George Eliot

My lovely friend, Grace has written some beautiful words about Autumnal Equinox…do take a look, the photograph is perfect too.

I hope you have had a great week and are enjoying Autumn?

Well hello and how are you?

I have been a little absent from the blog for a few weeks due to the busyness of life and work…you know how it gets sometimes.

This week has been pretty much recovering from a very heavy work weekend {nearly 40 hours in 3 days…thank goodness it’s only once a year!}. The show went very well, so that makes it all so worthwhile.

We continue to get to know Trevor and he climbs deeper and deeper into our hearts every day…who knew a dog was just what we needed *contented sigh*.

Despite a flurry of wildflowers, September moves on, the mornings bring a chill and the Virginia Creeper is on the turn, what a lovely Autumnal display she bestows us.

My husband celebrated a birthday this week and we are looking forward to a meal out tomorrow at a Cantonese restaurant…it is just such GOOD food there.

I am not sure what the weekend holds {apart from the meal and walks with Trevor}, but I am hoping to include as much relaxation as possible!

How was your week? Good I hope : )

this week - friday 4th september 2015

This week has brought a new month and with it a definite whiff of a new season. There is a chill in the morning air and leaves on the ground, Autumn is on her way.

This week has also brought us a new best friend, in the shape of our adorable terrier cross, Trevor! He is a rescue dog and despite only having had him here for two days he has settled right in and it feels like we have always had him with us. We love Trevor.

The rest of the week has looked like beautiful sunsets and busy days at work. We have a big show coming up at work next weekend, so it’s going to be nose to the grindstone next week too!

I do hope you have a had a great week, what have you been up to, I’d love to know?
