I know joy

honeydew melon 1

In the smile of my child, I know joy;

like a warm blanket around my heart.

In the love I receive, I know joy;

like strong arms holding me, should I fall.

In all that nature gives, I know joy;

like a breath of fresh air through my soul.

In friendship, I know joy;

like a guiding star in the night sky.

Yes, I know joy and she knows me,

we two are well acquainted, you see.

  1. You are such an inspiration, and you take such beautiful photographs too. (Whilst trying hard to keep envy tightly sealed in its box ,LOL… I have to say I love your blog to bits.

I am just a humble Yorkshire lass trying to forge a little place for myself and connect with lovely people like you. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart…it means the world. 1. Awww… you deserve it, your writing is definitely from the heart, from a place deeper than I could currently conjure and I delight in seeing your writing blossom over the short time I’ve been following your blog, I do not possess such hopes yet for me – I still have a long road ahead to travel of study and practice for my writing aspirations.

        You’re right, the ‘day job’ exam is a week tomorrow (2nd July) so onward with the swotting, although I’m of the opinion that what I don’t know by know I will not know in time! Fingers crossed hey!?? Ellie xx
